Urgent Care Physician Job Details

Physician Qualifications
- MD or DO degree required
- Board certified or board eligible in Urgent Care, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
- Active and unrestricted Illinois medical license (or ability to obtain for Illinois healthcare jobs)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care or emergency medicine settings
- Proficient in urgent care procedures such as splinting and suturing
Urgent Care Physician Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a busy walk-in urgent care clinic (average 60-70 patients per day, shared among 3 providers)
- Perform urgent care procedures including splinting and suturing
- Independently manage patients during assigned shifts (MD/DO may be solo from 6a-9a; NP may be solo from 9p-10p)
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population
