A hospital-based Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician position is available in Northern California, focusing on outpatient chronic pain management and interventional procedures with no inpatient call required. The role involves performing advanced pain treatments such as Botox, EMGs, injections, radiofrequency ablations, and minimally invasive procedures within a fully equipped rehab center. Northern California University town 90 miles to Sacramento 180 miles to downtown San Francisco Airport with 3 daily flights to SF Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provider needed for hospital-based scenario where all overhead costs are covered by the health system Rehabilitation Center is a modern and fully equipped facility with 40 inpatient beds 100% outpatient for chronic pain management, offering alternatives to potent opioid treatment; we avoid prescribing opioids to our outpatients. No inpatient call required Staffing includes 4 PM&R (interventional pain/outpatient and inpatient) providers, 1 Nurse Practitioner, therapists, nurses, dieticians, and case managers The current pain specialists perform in office procedures such as Botox injections, EMGs, trigger point injections, joint injections, and fluoroscopy guided procedures such as (oral sedation, conscious sedation, and anesthesia available), cervical/thoracic/lumbar epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, joint injections, neurostimulator trials and minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD). Could also perform other procedures. EMG (upper and lower extremities) desired No intrathecal pump management Advanced technology and equipment to assist in recovery to provide a broad spectrum of services General Inpatient Rehabilitation experience preferred but not required stroke, brain injury, post spine/orthopedic surgery, spinal cord injury, amputation, deconditioning Compensation package based on the MGMA ($400k-500k, plus earning potential) western region-median and relocation assistance
