American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with 2+ years clinical experience and ARRT (R) certification for pediatric weekend shifts.
Responsibilities- Work in a dedicated pediatric radiology department within an acute care hospital
- Weekend daytime schedule with three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Primary unit is Pediatric X-Ray with 2 X-ray rooms, 1 fluoro room, 5 portable machines, 2 C-arms, 2 mini-C-arms, and 1 O-arm
- Handle an average of 85 imaging studies per day, including OR, fluoro, diagnostic, ED, and mobile X-rays
- No floating or coverage required in other areas
- Department uses EPIC EMR and Fuji PACS systems; experience with these systems is beneficial
- Canon Ultimax fluoro units, Dell X-ray rooms, and GE C-arms are used
- Primary duties include performing pediatric X-ray procedures in radiology, operating room, emergency, and mobile settings
- Lead technologist and pediatric radiologist available during weekday daytime hours; resident coverage 24/7
- Departmental orientation provided
- Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code
- No IV starts required for this role
- No on-call or standby requirements
- Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Prior WVU Medicine employees must have a 2-year break before reapplying, and cumulative travel cannot exceed one year within WVU Medicine without a 2-year break
- Minimum 2 years of radiology technologist experience
- ARRT (R) certification and BLS (AHA) required
- Pediatric imaging experience is preferred but not required
- Radiologic technologist license required if applicable
- Ability to work weekend and holiday shifts
