Job Overview
A critical access hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa is seeking an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a sonographer who is confident working independently and performing high-quality, noninvasive vascular studies in a smaller, community-focused hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform vascular ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders
- Conduct noninvasive vascular studies and accurately document findings
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning during examinations
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment according to established protocols
- Communicate preliminary findings to radiologists or providers as appropriate
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and diagnostic imaging standards
Requirements
- Active vascular sonographer certification (RVT preferred)
- Iowa license if applicable
- Prior vascular ultrasound experience required
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment
- Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
