DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Job Title: Orthopedic Surgeon (Hand)
- Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
- Location: Hobart & Valparaiso, IN (Chicagoland Area)
- Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- Schedule: Monday Friday, with shared call responsibilities (1:6 rotation)
- On-Call Expectations: 1:6 rotation
- Start Date: Negotiable (credentialing typically 90120 days) PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE

- Average Daily Volume / Census: Diverse hand and upper extremity surgical caseload

- Beds in Department/Unit: Orthopedics Unit within a 458-bed hospital system
- EMR System: Epic fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII
- Specialty Backup: Comprehensive physician network with subspecialty surgical support
- Support Staff: Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports within Community Healthcare System physician group
