We are seeking a dedicated and skilled physician to provide exceptional obstetric and gynecologic care during weekend shifts, ensuring the health and wellbeing of mothers and infants in the Petersburg region. Required Skills:- Valid medical license and board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an OB Hospitalist, with the ability to manage deliveries and obstetric emergencies independently.
- Excellent clinical and decision-making skills with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities for effective collaboration with hospital staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during weekend shifts.
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and obstetric emergency management.
Preferred Education and Experience:- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of postpartum and labor & delivery experience as an OB Hospitalist or OB/GYN physician.
- Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous.
Other Requirements:- Current medical license valid for practice in Virginia.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday through Sunday).
- Willingness to travel if necessary, with appropriate reimbursements provided.
- Certification in basic life support and advanced cardiovascular life support.
