About the Position

We are currently seeking experienced Local CDL A Drivers for a touch freight position. This role is ideal for drivers based in Greensboro, NC, who have the ability to take the truck home if they have a secure location. The position is seasonal, running from May to October, with the possibility of temp-to-hire for outstanding performance.

Pay & Schedule Details

• Pay Rate: $25 per hour
• Overtime: Available after 40 hours
• Schedule: Monday - Saturday, with a possible day off during the week
• Dispatch Time: Between 4 AM - 7 AM (average dispatch at 5 AM)

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Freight: Hauling fruits and vegetables for clients such as Food Lion and Harris Teeter
• Equipment: Manual transmission truck
• Handling:
  • 5 - 10 stops per day
  • Unloading with a pallet jack; some pallets may need to be broken down into multiple orders
  • Some customers unload at docks; may require a liftgate or ramp at the back of the truck

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain signed BOL/invoices at deliveries and pickups
• Handle cash for COD deliveries and return to the office after the route
• Report to designated locations and hours

Minimum Requirements

• 3+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
