Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric OR RN with current circulating and scrubbing skills, Epic experience, and a MD or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a Pediatric Operating Room setting
- Cares for pediatric patients requiring a full range of surgical services, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, trauma, and general surgery cases
- Day shifts are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday through Friday), with Thursdays 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and a rotational day off
- Will participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when the OR is closed, primarily for emergency cases
- No block or set schedules are offered for this role
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation in both circulating and scrub roles
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where specific facility rules apply
- Provides operating room care as both circulator and scrub nurse for diverse pediatric surgical cases
- On-call duties involve covering emergency surgeries during evenings, nights, and weekends
- Rotational day off ensures variety in scheduling
Requirements
- Active MD or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification is required
- Minimum of 3 years of OR experience with recent pediatric OR experience
- Must have circulating and scrubbing experience in the OR
- Experience in facilities with 500+ bed counts is required
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Robotics experience is a plus
