This role is for a Family Medicine Physician at Uintah and Ouray Health Center in Fort Duchesne, Utah, providing comprehensive outpatient medical care to patients of all ages. Responsibilities include diagnosing, treating, and managing various health conditions, performing emergency care, and participating in community outreach. The position requires board certification in Family Medicine, a medical doctorate, current BLS certification, and an active unrestricted medical license.

About the Facility - Uintah and Ouray Health Center Leave the hazards of urban life behind and apply your skills to a wide scope of health care. This ambulatory 40-hour facility is staffed by physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, and dental, optometry, and psychology providers. They provide comprehensive public health services including general medical, surgical follow-up, pediatric, prenatal, and postpartum care. Dental, behavioral health, and optometry services are also available. Other clinical specialties are provided by visiting consultant and are scheduled periodically. Patients requiring more complex medical care are referred to the hospital or other contract facilities. Facility Address: 6822 E. 1000 S. Ft. Duchesne, UT 84023 Family Medicine Physician - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to) Will participate directly in the medical care of the patients. Performing functions to the extent delineated by the medical staff privileging process. Will adhere to the scope of work and accept work assignments from the Clinical Director as necessary. The Family Medicine Physician shall provide direct care/services to pediatric, geriatric, adolescent and adult patients: patient care will involve contact with outpatient COVID patients in the urgent care setting, as well as other potential infectious contacts expectable in a healthcare clinic. Will provide comprehensive therapeutic and preventive health services to individual COVID Positive patients, family members and patient groups in a home or community-based setting as a primary health resource and physician extender. The Family Medicine Physician will assess and diagnose needs to produce a plan of action to meet identified needs by providing medical health services to individual and families, and interpretations of x-ray imaging results and laboratory test results and findings. Will apply Medical Doctor skills in all phases of health care services. Will assist with community outreach activity in the local area. Will make decisions concerning medical care needs of patients with physicians and designated consultants. Will provide lifesaving and support measures in emergency situations. The Family Medicine Physician shall provide thorough and concise written documentation of evaluations, treatment, active orders, medications, and referrals through the Electronic Health Record in a timely manner. Family Medicine Physician - REQUIREMENTS Years of Experience: Completion of a (3) year residency program in a primary care specialty such as Family Practice, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine. The Board Certification in Family Medicine is required. Minimum Education: Doctorate degree of Osteopathic or Allopathic medicine. Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support). The Family Medicine Physician must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a physician in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
