RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Primarily work within the Intensive Care Unit with periodic floating to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds based on census needs
• Provide nursing care to critically ill patients of all ages and their families in a 5-bed ICU setting
• Handle after hours recovery of post-operative general surgery, pediatric, and OB patients as needed
• Work independently completing assignments following doctors' orders, standards of care, and hospital policies
• Minimum 3 years of prior ICU experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing required
• Must maintain current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Must complete PALS, TCAR, and NIH NIHSS within 6 months of hire
• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
• Shared contractor housing only - no pets or family allowed
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date

This JCAHO accredited health center serves a 4,400 square mile area and operates as a referral center for the western part of the Navajo and Hopi Reservations. The 73-bed facility was constructed in 1975 and provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient services including emergency services, dental and ophthalmology services, orthopedics, OB/GYN, oral surgery, eye surgery, and urological procedures. The facility performs approximately 49% of surgeries as outpatient/ambulatory procedures and maintains a diverse medical staff including various specialists and nursing professionals serving the local community.
