Our client, a community-focused Christian organization, is seeking a Maintenance Custodian to join their team. As a Maintenance Custodian, you will be part of the facilities team supporting a welcoming and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a proactive approach to facility care, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully with the organization’s mission and values.
Job Title: Maintenance Custodian
Location: Durham, NC
Pay Range: $17/hour
Shift: 8am-5pm Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
What's the Job?
- Clean and maintain all areas of the facility, including offices, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
- Perform routine maintenance and handyman tasks to ensure the building is in good working order.
- Monitor and report any repair needs or safety concerns.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
What's Needed?
- Prior maintenance experience required.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
