PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Level III Fleet Maintenance Mechanic requires advanced experience and knowledge with gas/diesel engines and hydraulics/electronics to perform maintenance on a variety of resort equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on all fleet vehicles in an expedient fashion.
- Maintain gas and diesel engines
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics/electrical components
- Train and mentor Level I and II technicians, giving advice and pointers to less experienced staff
- Assist Level IV technicians as needed
- Perform moderate fabrication projects and custom modifications
- Improvise and pioneer efficient methods for service and repairs
- Assist with some administrative duties; finding parts, writing P.O.'s, filing records.
- Document all parts usage and all work done on work orders
- Follow all shop safety practices and dress code.
- Maintain clean tools and work area
- Manage motor pool and have accountability for damage on a daily basis.
- Perform other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of related experience
- High school education, formal automotive training, or equivalent
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications a plus
- Specialty training such as hydraulics and/or electronics
- Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be able to lift heavy items and work in adverse conditions
- Have an ample tool inventory: full hand tools, full air tools, diagnostic, etc.
