About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking highly motivated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team in full-time or part-time positions. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical emergencies. Working alongside a dedicated team of nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals, you'll ensure timely and effective interventions for every patient who enters the emergency department.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.
- Make critical diagnoses and treatment decisions in fast-paced situations.
- Perform essential emergency procedures, including but not limited to suturing, laceration repair, and airway management.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to guide treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans effectively.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team in high-stress situations.
- Document medical records accurately and thoroughly to ensure clear communication for all healthcare providers involved.
Who You Are
- Board certified in Emergency Medicine (BC/EM) or board-eligible for Emergency Medicine certification.
- Alternatively, board certified in Family Practice (BC/FP) with extensive emergency department experience, or board certified in Internal Medicine (BC/IM) with extensive emergency department experience, will be considered.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Active Wisconsin medical license is mandatory.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license is required.
