A healthcare organization in New York City is currently seeking a new, licensedInternal Medicine Physician to join one of their facilities in Brooklyn. In this role, the Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible forproviding primary care to patients, as well as managing complex medical conditions.
About the Opportunity:- Specialty: Primary Care
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (one Saturday per month)
- Call Schedule: None
Responsibilities:The Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive physical exams and medical histories to diagnose and treat medical conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms
- Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications to manage illnesses and chronic conditions
- Managing chronic medical conditions,such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders
- Providing preventive care, such as routine health screenings and vaccinations
- Educating patients about disease prevention and management, healthy lifestyle choices, and the risks and benefits of various medical treatments
- Referring patients to specialists as needed for further evaluation and treatment
- Documenting patient care in medical records
- Participating in quality improvement activities and staying up-to-date with advances in medical research and technology
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Certified in Family and/or Internal Medicine
