Amergis has partnered with an esteemed Medical center in Sioux city, IA in need of an EP Cardiologist for approx. 20 shifts/mo.

Schedule:

• Shifts per month: 20
• Clinic/Patient Contact Hours: 8am to 5pm
• Clinic Days: Monday thru Friday
• Shift length: 8 hours
• Procedure/OR Days: 2 to 3 per week
• On Call: shared call with 3 interventionalist

• Inpatient Responsibilities: Yes
• Outreach: Yes, at Hawarden, Ida Grove, Primghar, Kingsley (IOWA), Winnebago (NE). Up to 2 days per month.
• Telehealth: Yes
• Number of Physicians: 3
• Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 5
• Supervision of APP expected: Yes
• Physician Nurse Ratio: 1:1
• Ancillary Staff per Provider: 2:1
• Exam Rooms per Provider: 5
• Medical Imaging: Yes
• Lab & Pharmacy: Yes
• Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 20-25
• Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-20 cardiology patients
• Appointment Length: 15 to 30 minutes appts
• Demographics: Serving all of Siouxland and surrounding area Population is 100,000+
• EMR: Cerner Powerchart
• Teaching Opportunity: Internships and Preceptors

Job Responsibilities:

• Clinic visits (new/established) Electrophysiology procedures, device monitoring (loopp, pacemakers, ICD) general call
• In Clinic device transmissions and reprogramming
• We have an EP PA who will assist with patient volumes. Post procedure and established patients

Services/Procedures offered in the practice:

• On site and remote device transmissions
• EP studies
• ablations (afib, aflutter, svt, pvc, vt)
• pacemaker/ICD/temp pacer/loop recorder insertions
• gen changes
• TEE
• cardioversions

Requirements

• Board Certified (can accept BE/New graduates)
• Active IA License or Active IMLC (please upload LOQ)
• Fellowship Trained (Electrophysiology)
• Clean Malpractice
• Must be available Full time (2 or more weeks per month)
