Position Summary
- Performs all mammogram procedures offered by the hospital.
- Assists with breast localization procedures. Provides in-service for co-workers in area of expertise.
- Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Education/Other Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an AMA approved program in radiologic technology.
- Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or if newly registry-eligible with (ARRT) shall obtain registry within 90 days of hire
- The position involves moving equipment and patients.
- Position requires good communication with patients, physicians, co-workers and the public.
- Independent decisions as how to provide optimally diagnostic studies is required.
- The person should have mechanical ability and good mobility.
- Must have current BLS certification
