• Office Equipment Available: Standard ED equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: None onsite; limited lab; 24/7 US and CT with reads; no blood products
• Support Staff Available: NP/PA coverage varies by day
• Staffing Model: - 24 hrs/day MD coverage (6a6p, 6p6a) - NP/PA Schedule: Mon 8a5p & 12p9p; TueFri 8a8p; SatSun 10a8p

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Requirements: 34 hr morning orientation, ED shadowing to total 12 hrs, Epic training prior (test-out available)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Texas license required
• Board: ABEM preferred; AOBEM, ABFM, ABIM with strong ED experience accepted; ABPS not accepted
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: EM BC requires proof of ATLS once; FM/IM trained requires ATLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience: Strong emergency medicine experience required
• Other Qualifications: Epic proficiency preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergency medical care in a high-volume ED setting
• Manage approximately 60 patient encounters per day
• Coordinate transfers for all admissions to main Christus Mother Frances campus
• Perform required emergency medicine procedures
• Complete all onboarding, orientation, and Epic workflow processes
