Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a VA or compact RN license, with BLS certification and weekend rotation.
Responsibilities
- Work on a 22-bed Med/Surg unit dedicated to both patient care and educating new graduate nurses
- Patient ratios are 1:6
- Day shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
- Every other weekend is required
- No locals accepted due to a 50-mile radius rule
- The unit is a Dedicated Education Unit supporting new nurse education with highly engaged preceptors
- Nurses are expected to work holidays according to the policy: if one holiday falls during the assignment, expect to work it; if two, expect to work one; if three, expect to work two
- Must provide two professional references at the time of consideration
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Pending license is not accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
