This locum tenens CRNA position in Alabama involves providing medically directed anesthesia care in both inpatient and outpatient settings at a tertiary care center. The role covers a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedic, vascular, neuro, OB, pediatric, and thoracic cases with an 8-hour daytime shift Monday to Friday. Candidates must have an active Alabama license and will primarily handle routine surgical cases with no night or weekend call required.
Job duration: March 3, 2025 to August 8, 2025 Coverage type: No call Practice setting: Outpatient Temporary privileges available: YES case mix: Ortho, Vascular, Head spine, Neuro, OB, Pediatric, Regional, Thoracic Needs active AL License. What are the shift hours offered? 6-2 8 hours per day Is night or weekend call required? no PD says Outpatient, just confirming this is not inpatient at North Alabama Hospital? Inpatient and outpatient If outpatient, can you share the location of the ASC? NA Will you consider part time (1-2 shifts/week or 1-2 weeks/mo)? Prefer at least 2 weeks per month How many OR s are running each day? 16 How many Anesthesiologists and CRNA s are on each day? 4 and 16 Are the CRNA s Supervised, Medically Directed, or work Independently? Medically directed How many cases seen per shift? Varies, endo - 10-16, general 4-5 inpatient and outpatient surgery in a 255 bed tertiary care center with 14 operating rooms and 3 satellite areas (endoscopy, cath lab, x-ray) Level 3 trauma Schedule Mon-Fri 6-2, 8 hours per day We don't put locums in "complex" cases for the most part. They will do mostly bread and butter general, gyn, ortho, urology, GI lab (lots of endo)
