The Executive Sous Chef will co-lead a high-end culinary team in a newly opening, Michelin-level restaurant, focusing on operational excellence and creative menu execution. This role involves training staff, managing costs, and maintaining consistency in a fast-paced, refined kitchen environment. One of Atlanta’s most anticipated new openings is arriving in the Star Metals District: a chef-driven restaurant that blends refined global flavors, modern design, and uncompromising service standards. We are seeking an Sous Chef to join the opening leadership team and help set a new benchmark for dining in the city.
The Executive Sous Chef will partner with the Executive Chef to build and lead a team capable of delivering cuisine at a Michelin-recognized level, ensuring flawless consistency across every service. This role is ideal for a culinary leader who thrives in high-performance kitchens, embraces creativity, and understands how to balance artistry with operational execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Executive Chef in daily leadership and menu execution.
- Train, mentor, and hold a culinary team accountable to exacting standards.
- Execute systems for precision, consistency, and speed in high-volume service.
- Oversee P&L, food and labor cost controls, and inventory management.
- Collaborate on menu development and seasonal sourcing.
- Drive operational excellence during the restaurant’s critical opening phase.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in refined kitchen environments
- Prior opening experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in developing teams and instilling a culture of excellence.
- Strong operational and financial acumen.
- Passion for creativity, execution, and the art of hospitality.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $80,000 – $90,000 base salary + bonus potential.
