RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro
Job Details:
• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• 2 weekends required (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on the 20-bed neurological medical/surgical unit
• Tech support available on both day and night shifts with unit secretary coverage from 7 AM to 7 PM
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry machines, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Navy scrubs required (tops and bottoms)
• Must have active RN license and BLS certification
• Medical/surgical experience required with ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Must be skilled in starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Contract labor staff are first to float based on rotation system
• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift reporting and patient/family engagement in care planning
