JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Urologist General Urology Job Type: Permanent/Fulltime Location: Dothan, AL Service Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 8:00am 5:00pm On-Call Shift Schedule: 1 in 6 weekends Call Type: TBD Call Ratio: 1:6 PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults Patient Volume/Census: TBD Admissions: Yes Rounding: Included Case Mix: General urology, including cystoscopies, testosterone pellets, ultrasound-guided prostate biopsies, urodynamics, da Vinci prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, ESWL, reconstruction, vasectomy reversals FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 420 licensed bed facility Trauma Level: Level 2 EMR System: TBD Office Equipment Available: In-office lab services Specialty Backup Available: Interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, radiology, stroke center, pain management Support Staff Available: 3 NPs, robust hospitalist service, APP support Reason for Coverage: Vacancy/Expansion PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Compensation & Benefits: TBD REQUIRED PROCEDURES Cystoscopy Prostate biopsy Urodynamics da Vinci prostatectomy Partial nephrectomy ESWL Urological reconstruction Vasectomy reversal JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active AL medical license (preferred) Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology Experience: Experience with general adult urologic conditions Other Qualifications: Comfort working with hospital-employed group and in clinic + OR settings DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and treat adult urologic conditions in outpatient and hospital settings Perform required urological procedures and surgeries Provide inpatient consults and rounding support Participate in 1 in 6 weekend call rotation Supervise or collaborate with APPs Participate in teaching opportunities through ACOM
