Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU Stepdown position with telemetry experience and a current NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown setting in a hospital environment
- Adult med-surg and stepdown patient population with telemetry monitoring
- Varied schedule consisting of four 12-hour shifts per week
- Workweek runs from Sunday morning through Saturday night
- Required to work every other weekend
- Holidays availability is required
- Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, and implementation in collaboration with physicians
- NIHSS certification is recommended
- Navy blue scrubs are required
- COVID-19 vaccination is required
- Local candidates are accepted
- Holiday coverage is required as part of the schedule
Requirements
- Active NH or compact RN license required
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 3 years of previous nursing experience preferred
- Must have PCU/Stepdown and telemetry experience
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
