Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with travel experience and a TX or compact license for night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 36-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 to 07:00)
• Floating to other units is required
• Epic charting system is used, and prior experience is preferred
• Responsible for caring for a diverse adult med/surg patient population
• No travel pairs or groups will be accepted for this assignment
• A maximum of 3 days of requested time off (RTO) will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility or in the specified local counties
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
