Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Nursing in Columbus, OH- Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 26, 2026 – End: April 27, 2026)
- Unit: Perianesthesia – 4 Rhodes / Doan (PACU)
- Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center
- Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830 – $1880
- Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Unit Size: 20 beds, daily census 30-50
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio nursing license required)
- Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
- Level 1 Trauma nursing experience preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry, ventilator management, and electronic charting systems
- Ability to provide 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference)
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in a busy PACU environment
- Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, including vital signs and pain management
- Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
- Manage ventilated patients and provide central line care
- Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other complications
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
- Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems
- Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekend coverage
