Key Job Details – PACU RN Travel Nursing in Columbus, OH

• Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 26, 2026 – End: April 27, 2026)
• Unit: Perianesthesia – 4 Rhodes / Doan (PACU)
• Healthcare Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Nursing Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1830 – $1880
• Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Unit Size: 20 beds, daily census 30-50
• Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics
• Orientation: 36 hours

PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio nursing license required)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred)
• Level 1 Trauma nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry, ventilator management, and electronic charting systems
• Ability to provide 2 professional references (at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

PACU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in a busy PACU environment
• Monitor and assess patient recovery from anesthesia, including vital signs and pain management
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies as ordered
• Manage ventilated patients and provide central line care
• Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other complications
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Document patient care accurately using electronic charting systems
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain flexibility for weekend coverage
