This position is for a full-time Board Certified Electrophysiology Cardiologist responsible for inpatient and outpatient care, including complex electrophysiology procedures such as device monitoring, ablations, and pacemaker insertions. The role involves shared on-call duties, supervising advanced practice providers, and providing telehealth services, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday and procedure days 2 to 3 times per week. The physician will also participate in teaching opportunities and work within a team that includes other physicians and ancillary staff, utilizing EMR systems like Cerner Powerchart.
Coverage Needed
- Start Date: November 10, 2025
- End Date: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Procedure/OR Days: 2 to 3 per week
- Take general call on the weekends either preceding or succeeding weekday coverage
- Shifts per Month: 20

Clinical Details
- On Call: Shared call with 3 interventionalists
- Inpatient Responsibilities
- Outreach Locations: Up to 2 days per month

- Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 5
- EP PA who will assist with patient volumes
- Supervision of APP
- Physician Nurse Ratio: 1:1
- Ancillary Staff per Provider: 2:1
- Exam Rooms per Provider: 5
- Medical Imaging, Lab & Pharmacy available
- Clinic Provider Daily Volume: 20-25
- Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: 10-20 cardiology patients
- Appointment Length: 15 to 30 minutes
- EMR: Cerner Powerchart
- Teaching Opportunity: Internships and Preceptors
- Clinic visits (new/established) Electrophysiology procedures, device monitoring (loopp, pacemakers, ICD) general call, Post procedure and established patients
- Services/Procedures: On-site and remote device transmissions, EP studies, ablations, pacemaker/ICD/temp pacer/loop recorder insertions, gen changes, TEE, cardioversions
Requirements
- Board Certified (can accept BE/New graduates)
- Active IA License or Active IMLC
- Fellowship Trained in Electrophysiology
- Clean Malpractice Record
- Must be available Full Time (2 or more weeks per month)
