Locum Tenens Opportunity: Family Practice Physician Near Ilwaco, WA

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician for a rewarding locum tenens position near Ilwaco, WA. This role is available ASAP and offers an ongoing opportunity, with an initial contract period of three months and the potential for extension. Position Overview:

• Specialty: Family Practice
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Contract Length: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
• Shift Details:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • 8-hour workday with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break
  • No call required

Practice Setting:

• Location: Outpatient ambulatory setting in a Community Health Center
• Support Staff:
  • Dedicated medical assistant assigned to each provider
  • Receptionist and other essential support personnel
  • Mental health therapists and dietitians available onsite
  • Pediatrician available at most clinics
  • Local healthcare administrator responsible for timesheet submissions
• Patient Population:
  • Treats patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics
  • Ideal candidate will be comfortable with a diverse patient demographic and high-volume environment
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees, is highly valued
  • Interpretative services are available on-site; bilingual ability is a plus but not required

Responsibilities:

• Patient Load:
  • Expected to see up to 21 patients per day
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Department Description:
  • Community Health Center specializing in family medicine, walk-in/acute care services, and chronic disease management
  • Performs basic procedures such as injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care
• Skills Required:
  • Candidate must be prepared to start delivering patient care by day 3 after a 1-week ramp-up with onsite orientation
  • Must be experienced with the EPIC EMR system

• Travel Logistics:
  • Client covers flight, rental car or mileage, and lodging expenses

Requirements:

• Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) required
• License: Active Washington state license required; candidates without a license will not be considered
• DEA: Active Washington DEA required
• Certifications:
  • Certification requirements will be discussed during the credentialing process
  • Provider will be responsible for obtaining any additional certifications if needed (e.g., BLS, ACLS)
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required
  • Must have a clean background with no history of malpractice

Credentialing Timeframe:

• Credentialing: Typically 2-3 weeks
