Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/PM shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement: 12 hours in a 6-week period with 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum of 2 hours when called in
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• 5 years of nursing experience required with minimum 1 year of travel experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, nebulizer treatments, and medication administration via Pyxis
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must be able to work independently, manage change well, and complete tasks timely
• Eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours during contract

This healthcare facility operates a Level II trauma center with an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and handles cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory cases. The facility maintains modern equipment including EPIC computer charting systems and Pyxis medication dispensers, with in-house laboratory services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff in the emergency department.
