Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a dayshift assignment in Illinois requiring EPIC and Level 1 Trauma experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Operating Room setting (General OR)
- Day shifts, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with day off to be determined
- On-call required for 2 to 3 shifts per 4-week period, including weekends and weekdays
- Care for surgical patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment
- Utilizes EPIC for charting
- Duties include preparing OR suites, assisting with surgical procedures, and ensuring accurate documentation
- Responsible for positioning, prepping, and transporting patients in accordance with safety protocols
- No local candidates accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
- RTO (requested time off) is limited to 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Travelers cannot exceed 1 year continuously on assignment and must take a 6-month break prior to returning
- No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
- Scrubs or dress code requirements not specified
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license (or temporary IL RN license) in good standing
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- At least one year of relevant Operating Room nursing experience
- Experience in Level 1 Trauma and EPIC charting required
- ASN required
