The Pediatric Hospitalist Physician provides comprehensive inpatient care for newborns, children, and adolescents at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe, including management of newborn conditions, attending deliveries, and emergency consultations. This full-time role involves 24/7 in-house coverage with opportunities for additional shifts and includes participation in quality improvement and clinical protocol development. Corewell Health is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and energetic pediatric hospitalist to join our team.
Our team provides comprehensive care for well newborns and those in the nursery, managing conditions such as hypoglycemia, mild respiratory distress/hypoxia, intensive phototherapy, and infection workups. Additionally, we care for patients aged 12 years and older admitted to the hospital. We also attend deliveries, perform neonatal resuscitation, and occasionally consult in the emergency department. The group is also involved in quality improvement, clinical protocol creation, professional development, and other scholarly activities. The new physician would work in rotation providing in-house coverage 24/7
Full Time Position: 1.0 FTE, 14 shifts (12 hours each) per month including Day and Night Shifts to provide 24/7 in-house coverage.
-No outpatient work
-Opportunity to work additional shifts for additional income if desired.
