The Fire Sprinkler Inspector performs inspections, testing, maintenance, and minor repairs on various fire sprinkler systems in compliance with established standards and regulations. The role requires extensive knowledge of sprinkler systems, experience using diagnostic tools, and the physical ability to access difficult locations. Candidates must hold or be able to obtain relevant certifications and licenses, maintain detailed inspection records, and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills.

What you will do
Perform inspection, testing and maintenance/repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-Action and Deluge Sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and State of Department of Health. Candidate should have the ability to accurately discern, and document deficiencies found during an inspection.
How you will do it
Perform routine inspections, testing, service of life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturers' product lines.
Attention to detail with the ability to communicate with employees, employers, customers, and authorities having jurisdiction both written and verbally is desired.
Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices, such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.
Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation program via the laptop computer.
Make minor repairs and programming changes while under the direct authorized supervision.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What we look for
Required
4 or more years of documented experience in sprinkler system inspections.
NICET certification or the ability to obtain it within 3 months
Able to pass a drug and background check.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Able to obtain and retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local codes.
Experience/knowledge troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
Able and willing to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
Able to work flexible hours to meet customer requirements.
Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
Adhere to implement and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
Preferred
Knowledge of fire pumps, backflows and standpipes is a plus.
Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems
Backflow certification
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $22.11 - $28.36 per hour (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
