Our job summary
Join a new state-of-the-art 24-exam-room clinic and help build a 4 MD/4 NP team with flexible 0.6–1.0 FTE. Family Medicine physician (no OB) with hospitalist duties; clinic in Grand Rapids, MN with hospitalist coverage at Deer River Critical Access Hospital. Schedule: primarily day clinic, hospitalist 3–4 day stretches approx. every 6 weeks; call ~1 week every 6 weeks. Full- or part-time (0.6–1.0 FTE). - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine - Ability to perform hospitalist duties and backup after ER docs - Comfortable with EPIC EMR - Eligible for MN medical licensure - Willingness to cover occasional procedures (colposcopy, endoscopy, EGD)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications: Family Medicine & Hospitalist - No OBGrand Rapids & Deer River, MN

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

  • We are building a team of 4 MD's and 4 Nurse Practitioners to inhabit a new, 24 exam room, state-of-the-art facility.
  • Our Grand Rapids team works in close collaboration with existing Deer River team (20 minutes away).
  • Physician led practice
  • Call = Hospitalist Call: Approximately, 1 week, every 6 weeks. Hospitalists serve as backup after ER docs.
  • Clinic work in Grand Rapids.
  • Hospitalist work done at Essentia Health, Deer River Hospital; a modern, 20 bed, Critical Access Hospital with 24/7 ER physician coverage and Nurse Triage.
  • Hospitalist Coverage: 3-4 day stretch, every 6 weeks - done in Deer River.
  • Additional opportunities include; colposcopies, endoscopies, stress tests and EGD's.
  • EPIC electronic medical record
  • Flexible, 0.6 - 1.0 FTE

  • The City of Grand Rapids, on the banks of the Mississippi River, is located approximately 80 miles northwest of Duluth and 175 miles north of the Minneapolis/St. Paul.
  • Grand Rapids Population = 11,000. Service Area Population = 45,000 (approx.)
  • Over 1,000 lakes in this county!

COMPENSATION

  • $323,400. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
