About the Facility - FCC Tucson Prison The Federal Correctional Institution may need services in three separate institutions on the facility grounds, and are as follows:
Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) is located at 8901 S Wilmot Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756 and is a medium security institution which currently houses approximately 260 pre-trial male inmates, 36 pre-trial female inmates, and 610 designated medium security male inmates each requiring separate services.
The Federal Satellite Camp (FSC) is located at 9300 S Wilmot Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756 and is a low security camp that houses approximately 136 out custody inmates.
The United States Penitentiary (USP) is located at 9300 S Wilmot Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756 and is a maximum-security institution that will house approximately 1500 maximum/in custody inmates.

Facility Address: 9300 S Wilmot Rd, Tucson, AZ 85756RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)- Will be responsible for providing in-house medical consultation and evaluation service to chronic care ambulatory and general population inmates.
- History and evaluations shall be completed as scheduled.
- Detailed medical record documentation must be maintained, including reports, admission, discharge and death summaries; interprets and analyzes laboratory reports and findings and writes summaries; writes orders and instructions to nursing and support staff.
- Will perform routine and emergency medical care of non-specialized nature to patients or inmates incarcerated (i.e., examines, diagnoses, and treats patients and monitors progress, inoculates or vaccinates against communicable diseases, prescribes medication and prescribes or administers treatment for acute and chronically ill patients and performs minor surgery), or performs routine physical examinations of clients or employees to determine medical conditions for claims purposes or determine suitability for employment.
- Attends professional meetings, work conferences, and/or interdisciplinary team meetings to participate in development of total quality care plan for patients or inmates, consults with other physicians and determines the need for specialized care or treatment, acts as a consult to other professionals (e.g., social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists) and administers nursing, technical and para-professional staff.
REQUIREMENTS - Must possess a current and valid medical license to practice medicine in the state of Arizona.
- Must be a graduate of an American Medical Association approved school of medicine with a Doctor's degree in Medicine.
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice, General Practice or Internal Medicine.
- Must have Professional Liability Insurance Coverage.
- Must be able to pass a security clearance and background check.
