• Diverse Patient Care: Experience a dynamic blend of call coverage and potential weekend shifts, ensuring timely intervention for stroke patients and other complex neurological conditions.

• Focus on Surgical Expertise:
  This role is ideal for a highly skilled neuroendovascular surgeon with the ability to perform both thrombectomies and clippings at the bedside, minimizing the need for patient transfers.

• Supportive Team Environment: Collaborate with a dedicated CNS during weekday business hours and access general Neurosurgery APPs for nighttime support. New consultations will be managed by the on-call Neuroendovascular Surgeon.

• Seamless Technology: Leverage your familiarity with EPIC, the EMR system used at the facility.

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Be available 24/7 to provide phone consultations, triage stroke patients, and make timely decisions regarding intervention for patients requiring thrombectomies or other neuroendovascular procedures.
  • Participate in weekend call shifts as needed.
  • Manage a variable patient load during call shifts, performing both open and endovascular procedures in the interventional/cath lab.
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the EPIC EMR system.
  • Collaborate effectively with the on-site healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Qualifications for Success:

  • Current board certification in Neurological Surgery is mandatory.
  • Valid medical license in the state of Colorado to practice medicine without restrictions.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and DEA registration are required.
  • Proven experience performing both thrombectomies and surgical clippings for stroke and other neurological conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • The ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Comfort with both open and endovascular surgical procedures is preferred.
