Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of SNF rehab experience for a rehabilitation therapy position in a hospital and skilled nursing environment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a rehabilitation therapy department within a hospital and skilled nursing facility
- Adult patient population across acute care, SNF, rehabilitation hospital, and outpatient settings
- Five-day work week with departmental coverage from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM and possible weekend shifts (Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday)
- EMR system used is Meditech
- Schedule may require coverage on shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Responsible for performing diagnostic assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing comprehensive occupational therapy services
- May provide all occupational therapy services for a unit, center, or facility under general supervision
- All compliance documents must be completed and submitted at least one week before assignment start date
- Employee health and HR clearance required on the Friday prior to the Monday start date with no exceptions
- Must be able to work flexible schedule based on department operational needs including holidays and weekends
- Services are provided 24/7 and candidate must be available as necessary
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license required; must have Hawaii license by assignment start date (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in at least one of the following adult settings: acute care, SNF, rehab hospital, or outpatient
- Current BLS certification required
