Exciting Opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner in Neonatology
Join a dedicated team in a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at a well-respected medical center in Belmont, North Carolina. Scheduled to open in late 2024, this facility anticipates around 600 deliveries each year, with a supportive environment that fosters professional growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a neonatology nurse practitioner to take on a leadership role, surrounded by a collaborative staff and advanced care systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide daily rounds on newborns in-house and take call from home.
- Attending deliveries when requested and stabilizing newborns.
- Facilitate the transport of newborns needing higher-level care.
- Collaborate with a team consisting of NNPs and neonatologists at a nearby Level III NICU.
- Engage with the Belmont Medical Center community, which is conveniently located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification as a Board Certified NNP.
- Minimum of 2+ years of employment experience as a NNP (not including RN experience).
- Strong commitment to quality patient care and teamwork.
- Ability to stabilize and manage the transport of critically ill newborns.
License and Certification Requirements
- Active North Carolina license (or willingness to obtain).
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Copy of the most recent NPDB report (within 30 to 60 days active) is required.
