Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a community hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00-07:00)
- Uses Epic EMR system; previous Epic experience required
- Cares for adult patients with medical-surgical and telemetry needs
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- Open to new travelers with at least two years of experience
- Provide nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Must adhere to a drug and tobacco free workplace
- Facility enforces a natural nail policy
- Not allowed to smoke on campus
- All candidates must undergo fingerprinting and cannot begin work until fingerprinting results are complete
- Time-off requests must be included for consideration; holidays off are not guaranteed
Requirements
- Active RN license in VA or compact state
- Minimum 12 months Med/Surg Tele experience required
- Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing school (diploma, associate, or BSN accepted)
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- BSN preferred
- Candidates must not have been employed by the health system within the previous 6 months
