The role requires 2+ years of gastroenterology experience, current or obtainable South Carolina medical license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.

Job Highlights Location: Columbia, South Carolina Start Date: October 5, 2025 Duration: 6-month block minimum, with the possibility to extend Schedule: Standard hours of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, with evening on-call duties Patient Demographic: Adults Responsibilities Perform essential procedures including upper and lower GI endoscopies, colonoscopies, and manometry studies. Provide on-call support for emergencies, requiring physical presence onsite. Collaborate with a team of physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document all patient interactions and procedures onsite. Qualifications Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active South Carolina Medical License or willingness to obtain one BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years post-training experience in Gastroenterology Experience with Epic EMR is preferred Additional Information Support staff includes 5 physicians, 9 mid-levels, and a full OR team. Facilities feature a Level 1 trauma center, outpatient clinics, and a free-standing GI center. COVID-19 vaccine is not required, but a flu vaccine is mandatory with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
