RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Float pool position assigned to Medical-Surgical, Inpatient Rehab, and Behavioral units
• May be assigned to step-down unit if experienced in this area
• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of patient population served
• Provide quality care in an efficient and safe manner consistent with unit standards
• Must have current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification required and must be maintained without grace period
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program required
• Must demonstrate current knowledge and skills appropriate to patient population served
• Communicate clearly and appropriately to developmental age of patients
• Handle emergency and crisis situations with prolonged standing and walking
• Perform heavy physical tasks including positioning, pushing, and transferring patients
• Work involves considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and x-rays
• Flexible schedule due to unexpected changes and emergencies
