Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry leadership role in an acute care setting, requiring a CA RN license and recent charge experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Telemetry unit within an acute care hospital environment
• Night shifts with 12-hour schedule and every other weekend required
• Role combines charge nurse, clinical mentor, and manager responsibilities
• Clinician will round on patients, provide on-shift leadership, and serve as a resource for clinical and interpersonal matters
• First to float as needed based on census and staffing
• Uses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience is preferred
• 3 weeks of orientation provided, including classroom and unit-based training
• Role includes leading and mentoring clinical staff while ensuring safe and high-quality patient care
• Candidates must not have been employed by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year unless only PRN through an outside firm
• Night shifts with every other weekend coverage required
• Scrub and dress code details provided during orientation
• Testing on dysrhythmia and sterile technique may be required during orientation

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a telemetry setting
• Must have served as a charge RN in the most recent assignment
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), and NIHSS (AHA or APEX) certifications required
• No first-time travelers; previous travel experience required
• Must provide two professional references, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and another peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years
• Driver's license required for consideration
