American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Tele float pool position with a minimum of 2 years specialty experience and previous travel background.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care setting within the Clinical Support Unit covering Med Surg, Telemetry, and ED boarder patients
- Position includes floating across multiple facilities within the region (Boise, Meridian, and Nampa) within the Med/Surg and Tele specialty
- Patient ratios for Med/Surg are typically 1:5
- Night shifts from 7p-7a with weekends as needed
- No self-scheduling is allowed; assignments communicated via app 1 hour before shift
- Must be willing to float at any time during the shift, including mid-shift floats
- Uses Epic EMR (EpicCare Inpatient); experience preferred
- Orientation includes a meet and greet and 3 inpatient shifts
- RNs may be assigned as a 1:1 sitter in any area as needed within scope
- Charge nurse present on all units; strong leadership and support structure including 7 assistant managers with 24/7 on-call support
- No on-call requirement and holiday coverage as needed
- No specific scrub color required, but attire must be clean and professional
- Safe and accessible parking available at all sites

- Active ID or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry and prior travel nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) required
- Must provide a copy of driver’s license
- Must submit two professional references: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years
- Permanent employees must be separated for at least one year before applying for a travel assignment
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates not accepted
