Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Site Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. You will engage with people on site, deliver excellent customer service, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols for armed personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate any unusual circumstances or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel and/or law enforcement as required.
• Complete incident reports and documentation according to company and client protocols.
• Assist in emergency preparedness drills and respond to real emergencies following established procedures.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and contractors to provide information and assistance as needed.
• Comply with all legal regulations and licensing requirements for armed security-related personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
