The Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner position at Banner-University Medical Center in Tucson, AZ involves outpatient clinical care and management of patients enrolled in Phase 1 oncology clinical trials. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, participation in tumor boards, and screening/enrollment of patients into trials. Hematology/Oncology Phase 1 NP at Banner-University Medical Center/University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ
We are actively recruiting for an outstanding Hematology/Oncology NP to join our division in Tucson, Arizona. Our current team consists of 22 Faculty in total: 14 Solid Tumor and 8 Hematologist physicians and 15 APP's within the Division of Hematology Oncology. This is an exciting opportunity to work in only one of 57 NCI Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States. Our oncology program is also accredited by the Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and we are recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. These accreditations signify our commitment that our patients will receive the highest quality and cutting-edge clinical care and treatment. Our NCI designation ensures that we have a comprehensive clinical trials program, which expands clinical options for our patients.

Position Details:
Full-Time position (1.0 FTE)
Outpatient Hematology/Oncology
Monday-Friday 8-5
Perform trial related clinic visits (up to 10 patients/day)
Attendance at tumor boards and site initiation visits (SIVs)
Work closely with the broader phase 1 team to screen and enroll patients for open trials
Assist the broader Phase 1 team with triage of active trial patients as needed.
No weekends
No call
We are seeking applicants with:
Ability to obtain an AZ license and DEA
Oncology certification desired
Experience with clinical trials desired
Experienced providers encourage to apply
