A Board-Certified Gastroenterologist providing outpatient and inpatient care at Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital, performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The role involves a full-time schedule with no call, supported by advanced endoscopy suites and clinical APCs, utilizing Epic EMR. The physician is responsible for upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsies, small bowel biopsy, and PEG placement in a hospital setting.

Duties: Mix of clinic + procedures Avg. procedures/day
Procedures Required: Upper & lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy (with biopsy/polyp removal), small bowel biopsy, PEG placement
Support: APCs in clinic, 3 new endo suites, Epic EMR

Schedule & Practice Setting:
Full-time schedule: 8am 5pm, Monday Friday
Mix of clinic and procedures, with no call required
Preference for 1 day clinic / 4 procedure days per week (flexible)
Average procedures per day with 3 newly built endoscopy suites and highly skilled staff
Inpatient census: patients on the medical service, with 3 4 in ICU/IMCU
APC support available in clinic
EMR: Epic
Day 1 orientation with EPIC support
Travel and lodging provided (nearest airport: Central Wisconsin CWA)
Required Procedures:
Upper GI Endoscopy (biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration, varices injection)
Small bowel biopsy
Lower GI endoscopy (flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy/polyp removal)
PEG tube placement
(ERCP & EUS not required not performed at this facility)
Requirements:
Board Certified in Gastroenterology (Fellowship required)
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Ability to obtain Wisconsin medical license (if not already held)
