Seeking a full-time Otolaryngologist for a locum-to-permanent opportunity, providing both inpatient and outpatient ENT care. The role includes clinic hours, surgical procedures as OR time allows, and participation in the call schedule. Providers must be genuinely interested in permanent placement and will be required to sign an attestation confirming this.
ScheduleFull-time, 1.0 FTE
Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 5:00 PM
Patient contact hours: 36 per week
OR/procedure days scheduled in coordination with the OR
Call included in the hospital call schedule
Combined inpatient and outpatient ENT coverage
Hospital coverage in Des Moines; clinic coverage in Clive
Call shifts for hospital; hourly shifts for clinic
All ENT services provided within the practice
High-volume clinic with 30+ patients/day, 15-minute appointments
Support structure: 1:1 physician-to-nurse ratio and 1:1 ancillary support
Access to medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy within the building
Two to three exam rooms per provider
Teaching opportunities available
Patient population spans Central Iowa, including Boone County, Indianola, and Pleasant Hill
EMR: EPIC
Board Certified Otolaryngologist (required)
Active IA license or active IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)
Must be available full time
Experienced provider required
Clean malpractice and background history required
Must not currently be employed by MercyOne
All candidates must sign an attestation confirming genuine interest in permanent placement
