The Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive clinical care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications. They educate patients and families on preventive care and wellness, manage chronic conditions, and refer patients to specialists as needed. The role requires a master's degree, relevant certifications, and experience with electronic medical records and primary care, often including pediatric patients.
Coverage Needed
- March 16 - April 10, 2026
- Schedule: Mondays: 7am - 4pm, Tuesdays: 8am - 6pm, Wednesdays: 8am - 5pm, Thursdays: 7am - 4pm, and Fridays: 7am - 3pm
- Specific Dates:
- March: 16-20, 23-27, 30-31
- April: 1-3, 6-10
Clinical Details
- Provides comprehensive clinical patient care through interviewing, examining and treating associates and their dependents in order to meet their health and wellness needs
- Prescribes appropriate medical treatment and clinical medications for patients and orders studies, tests and ancillary care services as required
- Educates patients and/or families about preventive care, wellness, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs
- Regularly reviews chronic medical conditions that require ongoing medical attention by accessing available registry tools
- May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment
- 8-10 PPD
Requirements
- Completed master's degree level Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited college/university
- Minimum three (3) years primary care practice experience
- Experience working with an EMR
- Experience working with pediatric patients in some locations
- May require phlebotomy
- Current CPR (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- NPI & DEA
- Active MD License
- Current National Board Certification
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
- workers comp certified
