We have an exciting locum tenens opportunity near Portland, ME for a position that offers flexibility and a meaningful role in serving our nations Veterans. This is a PRN position available ASAP and ongoing.
Position Overview:- Profession: Physician

- Shift Type: Days
- Options for Coverage:
- Travel and perform exams at a VES leased facility
- Schedule Veterans within your own practice
- Shift Options: Work days (4 hours) and/or full days (8 hours)
- Exam Type: One-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and separation health assessments
- Conduct interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and evaluation of traumatic brain injury
- Perform a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury exams
- No prescribing or treatment required
- Board Certification: Required in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- State License: Required in Maine
- Certifications: DMA certification (CME credits available) must obtain if not already certified; client does not reimburse for DMA certifications or portal training
- Equipment: Own personal laptop (NO MACs)
- Required Skills: Use of Goniometer, familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio; proficient in METs testing, and evaluating respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions
- Credentialing Timeframe: Quick credentialing and onboarding
- Support: Normal nursing and tech support available at the facility
