Opportunity:

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• 8-10 hour shifts available, rarely 12-hour shifts
• Work in 14-bed unit with 3 PACU bays and 11 interchangeable bays for pre-op, same day discharge, and endoscopy
• Assigned to pre-op, PACU (Phase 1 and Phase 2), pre-endoscopy, and post-endoscopy areas
• Follow ASPAN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Handle common cases including orthopedic procedures, general surgery, gynecology, c-sections, endoscopy, and pediatric cases
• Must have Phase 1 PACU experience and good general surgical recovery experience
• 2 years of PACU experience required, or many years of inpatient nursing with 1 year PACU experience
• Call requirements include 5-6 call shifts per month with 30-minute response time
• Night call scheduled from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend call runs 24 hours from Friday 6:00 PM until Monday 7:00 AM
• May be assigned holiday call during contract
• Must stay within 30 minutes of hospital when on-call
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS
• Use Epic EMR system
• Read cardiac strips
• Expected to learn room cleaning and turnover procedures
• Scrubs provided by facility
• 3-5 shifts of orientation with preceptor
• Must live more than 50 miles from facility
