This role is for a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician providing coverage in a high-volume inpatient emergency department with flexible shifts and no on-call requirement. The physician will manage a wide range of adult, pediatric, and geriatric emergency cases, supervise advanced practice providers and residents, and perform various emergency procedures. The position requires an active Michigan medical license and emergency medicine experience, offering malpractice coverage and travel reimbursement.

- Emergency medicine coverage in a high-volume community emergency department
- Supervision of advanced practice providers and residents
- Evaluation and management of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Fast track and main ED coverage as assigned
- Procedural scope includes airway management and ventilation
- Central and arterial line placement
- EKG interpretation
- Orthopedic care including non-displaced fractures
- Minor laceration repair and incision and drainage
- Psychiatric evaluations for uncomplicated cases
- Arthrocentesis
- Lumbar puncture
- Paracentesis
- Management of acute volume and blood pressure issues Requirements
- Board Certification ABEM or AOBEM certified only
- State License Active Michigan medical license required
- BLS required
- Local provider required
- Emergency medicine experience strongly preferred
