American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for an Operating Room position requiring prior charge nurse experience and robotics competency.
Responsibilities- Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
- Shift is 4x10 hour days, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Possible weekend and holiday shifts may be required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Call requirements apply
- Floating required between Main OR, Outpatient Surgery Center, and Hernia Center
- Uses Epic charting system
- Hospital is a Magnet designated, teaching, Level 4 Trauma center
- Scrubs provided in any color for OR personnel
- Role involves leading the OR team and supervising clinical operations
- Must facilitate training and onboarding for new RNs in the OR
- First time travelers may be considered
- Time off during orientation week is not permitted and RTO must be kept to a minimum (1 week max)
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rates
- No block scheduling is accommodated
- Monthly parking available at a cost
- Active WA or compact RN license required
- At least 2 years of operating room experience required
- Prior charge nurse experience required
- BLS certification required
- Competency in robotics required
- Must be willing to train new hire RNs
- Teaching hospital and trauma hospital experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred but not required
- COVID vaccination and booster required
- Prior staff must be separated for at least 18 months before returning as a traveler
